Welcome back everyone. I’m posting after much time. Hope all are going good. In this article, we will discuss about why certification is needed. Also, which type of certifications are worthy and much more.
Certifications definitely boost up your resume. Not having certifications but having tremendous knowledge on a product is like knowing how to drive a car without having a driving license. You need to spend a lot of time showing people that you can drive, a driving license shows that you know at least very basic driving. If any company is interested in your skills as a driver they will quiz you further, if not they see that as a plus in case they ever need a driver.

Certifications also prove another purpose. I have seen people with immense experience in a product fail the certification course. In my opinion this happens because although they are doing certain task, they do not know what could fail and how to fix what has failed. Put it to you simply, one of my pilot friend once told , 99% of my training is going to be useful 1% of the time. All his training is basically to prepare him for a crash situation, he said I could teach you how to fly a plane in 5 days, but not how to stop a crashing plane.
Well, sometimes we may confuse between certificate and certification. There is a difference between these 2 which we must know. A certificate program typically indicates attendance or completion of a course or series of courses with a specific focus. Whereas, Certification includes an experience and education component and requires passing an exam. Prefer certification over certificate.
Lastly having a certification shows that you have knowledge or skill in the field, also you are willing to put the time and effort in the mentioned field. Getting certified is not a easy task, you need to study things that you might have read 10 times before. Yet that hard work is needed to pass.
Some of the good online certification links are as: Udemy, Coursera, Certiport, NPTEL etc.
